We are the Halsey’s; John, Elaine and our son, Matt. Originally from London we have been publicans for 25 years in East Anglia and have had two pubs prior to the Castle where we have been for fifteen years.

The Ruttles
Before becoming a publican John was a successful musician working with Patto, Roy Harper, Lou Reed and the Rutles playing the part of Barry(Ringo) in the film and on the album.
We’re proud to be the present custodian’s of one of Cambridge’s greatest pubs. The Castle Inn is a Grade II listed building and stands on the site of the old castle at Cambridge. We’re lucky to have lots of space, and there’s plenty of different drinking areas to choose from, including a delightful snug.
We specialise in good pub grub at great prices. All the main courses, and our Sunday roasts are just £8.95. Our best-selling meal is our hand-made Castle Burger. We make them every morning using mince steak. If you come on a Sunday night, then you can enjoy rib-eye steak, or sometimes a chicken 1/4 and chips, as well as a dessert for just £5.
Our wine list is comprehensive, and you will always find nine real ales on the bar, as well as a range of top-end lagers.
We look forward to welcoming you soon.
